Arsenal fans react on Twitter to RvP rumours: 'I'd rather have Senderos back'

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has been linked with a shock return to Arsenal next summer, so what do Gunners fans have to say about it?

Arsenal and Manchester United fans woke up to a rather strange and unexpected headline this morning - one declaring that Robin van Persie could be set for a summer return to the Emirates Stadium.

A report in the Mail on Sunday claimed the Dutchman has "an uneasy relationship" with United boss David Moyes, and was not happy with the unexpected departure of Sir Alex Ferguson so soon after his move from the Gunners.

A fee of around £15million has been suggested for this hypothetical and highly unlikely transfer, which reportedly hinges on whether or not Wayne Rooney signs a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.

If he does so, the report claims there is far more chance van Persie could leave.  But to Arsenal?  It just does not ring true to me, especially considering the feelings towards him when he left for United, and the fact that Moyes has already stuck to the United mantra of not strengthening your domestic rivals by refusing to sanction a Rooney move to Chelsea.

Given the latest report, we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans made of it all.  Some could not be printed - for obvious reasons - but below are a selection that appear to be the common consensus when it comes to a potential return for their former striker.
