Here is how Arsenal and Crystal Palace will line-up for this afternoon’s match:
Arsenal starting XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski, Giroud
Subs: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Rosicky, Zelalem, Gnabry, Bendtner
Crystal Palace starting XI: Speroni, Ward, Delaney, Gabbidon, Parr, Dikgacoi, Jedinak, Bolasie, Puncheon, Jerome, Chamakh
Subs: Hennessey, Mariappa, McCarthy, Bannan, Guedioura, Gayle, Wilbraham
Arsenal have the chance to go back to the top of the Premier League table, and then hope Chelsea and Manchester City both drop points tomorrow evening.
But for now they will be focusing solely on the visit of Crystal Palace, who have been resurgent under Tony Pulis.
Arsenal are without the injured Aaron Ramsey, Kim Kallstrom and Jack Wilshere and the suspended Mathieu Flamini; while Palace are unable to call on Jerome Thomas or Kagisho Dikgacoi.
Palace’s last league win at Arsenal came 20 years ago, when John Salako scored a brace in a 2-1 win, and with the Gunners unbeaten in their last 10 matches at the Emirates, it will be a tough ask for the Eagles to repeat that victory this afternoon.
That said, they have taken an impressive 16 points from a possible 33 since the former Stoke boss arrived, so who knows what could happen this afternoon?
What do you think the result will be today?
