PHOTOS: Fulham reveal Mitroglou and Holtby

The Cottagers landed two international attackers on deadline day in a bid to fire the side away from Premier League relegation danger.

Fulham were one of the busier Premier League sides on deadline day, with Rene Meulensteen revamping his squad with a number of new arrivals and departures.

Troubled duo Adel Taarabt and Dimitar Berbatov left the club, to be replaced by Lewis Holtby and Kostas Mitroglou.

The Germany international will spend the rest of the season on loan at Craven Cottage, while the highly rated Greek striker moves from Olympiakos on a permanent deal.

Mitroglou has expressed his delight at moving to London.

“I’m very happy that I’m here in the Premier League, and especially with Fulham which is a major club in the league,” Mitroglou told the official website.

“I’m here because I want to fulfil the club’s targets and I want to help the club achieve their goals. I was really flattered that they wanted me so badly and I’m really happy to be here.

“I’m really happy that I will work with Rene Meulensteen. I know that he has a lot of experience in football. He explained to me how he works and I am really looking forward to working with him.

“I also spoke to Giorgos [Karagounis] before I came here and he told me only the best things about Fulham.”

Holtby had found first-team opportunities at White Hart Lane few and far between, and will look to keep his slim chances of World Cup inclusion alive with strong performances for Fulham.
