I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 1st February 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 1st February 2013…
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was again reeling from missing out on a transfer target. Yesterday in present time saw him fail to bring in Salomon Kalou, Miroslav Klose and Papiss Cisse on loan - 12 months ago and the target was once again a striker.
A day after the deadline had ended and Wenger conceded he has attempted to get the former Valencia hitman from Barcelona - but had failed in his efforts.
"We were close to one more signature, yes. It did not happen because of the desires of the clubs to sell or not to sell; it is only linked with that. It was not a money problem; it was more a desire from other clubs to keep their players."
Arsenal were however celebrating the signing of Nacho Monreal from Malaga.
Doni reveals heart scare
In quite a shocking revelation, former Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni revealed where he had been for the past six months - and why he had gone missing.
Doni disappeared off the radar at the club - but it emerged a year ago that it was due to him suffering a cardiac arrest.
He said he collapsed while undergoing medical tests at Liverpool - revealing the news after signing for Botafogo.
Unfortunately that was it for Doni - he retired in August under medical advice after failing to overcome his heart problems.
His last game of professional footballer was for Liverpool against Swansea on the 13th May 2012.
The beginning of Odem-whingie
Of course, who can forget this saga?
Peter Odemwingie was being asked to stay away from West Brom for a week - after his deadline day blunder.
He drove down to QPR in order to try and force through a move which he never had permission to make.
It was a farcical scene, and very entertaining to those watching Sky Sports News - but the player was really in the mire.
He has played for two teams since - and not looked the same player.
