Stoke City starting XI: Begovic, Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, Odemwingie, Whelan, Adam, Arnautovic, Walters, Crouch
Subs: Sorenson, Muniesa, Palacios, Guidetti, Assaidi, Shotton, Ireland
Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Jones, Evans, Smalling, Evra, Cleverley, Carrick, Young, Mata, Rooney, van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Valencia, Fletcher, Januzaj, Hernandez, Welbeck
So, this is it. With another transfer window closed both Manchester United and Stoke City will have to hope the players currently at their disposal are enough to ensure their aspirations for the campaign are reached.
For Stoke City, that means climbing out of the relegation-zone, and staying out; for United, finishing no lower than fourth.
The arrival of Juan Mata has transformed the feeling at Old Trafford, but away from home it will be interesting to see how David Moyes' side cope against a Potters’ team who will be desperate for the three points.
That said, today’s visitors are unbeaten in their last 12 matches against Stoke, winning all but won. And with Mark Hughes’ side losing five of their last six league matches, today could be either a struggle or a day to remember.
What do you think the result will be today?
