Newcastle United have been thrashed by their local rivals Sunderland once again - as The Mackems took a 3-0 win back to Wearside from their trip to the Tyne.
Goals from Fabio Borini, Adam Johnson and Jack Colback did the trick - and it was all they deserved after an incredible performance in their fierce rivals back-garden.
For Newcastle the defeat perpetuated what was a lacklustre Transfer Window - with Yohan Cabaye leaving, no replacement found and no defensive reinforcements brought in.
They know it was a bad performance, the fans know it - what they don’t need is to have it rubbed in by a player at Arsenal.
Although this is a player with Sunderland history.
Nicklas Bendtner spent a controversial season on loan at the Stadium of Light - which ended when he fell out with Martin O’Neill over tardiness for the team bus for a game against Manchester United in May 2012.
But he has obviously harboured some fond memories from his time at the club:
Obviously he is simply just trying to send a message of support to some of his former team-mates after they put in an excellent performance.
But he may regret those words when he comes up against The Toon at the end of April.
Some might just have his number.
