Bethesda announces The Elder Scrolls Online Imperial Edition, along with a shiny new trailer.

Bethesda Softworks announced the The Elder Scrolls Online Imperial Edition on Wednesday. Along with this announcement came an epic eight minute long CG trailer.

The trailer shows a band of variously-adept individuals, including an elf with some impressive magic skills, fighting against some less-than-savoury characters. One of them being a large creature who appears to need some dental work.

In the Imperial Edition of the game you will find plenty of incentives to pre-order, and also some items which will boost your gaming experience.

The Imperial Edition is available in both digital and physical versions. The physical version gives you:

  • The Improved Emperor’s Guide to Tamriel. A 224-page illustrated guide annotated by the Imperial scholar, Flaccus Terentius.
  • Physical Map of Tamriel. A 21” x 26” printed map detailing Alliance-controlled zones and the ultimate conquest: Cyrodiil.

  • Mudcrab Vanity Pet: Explore Tamriel with a mudcrab pet scuttling along by your side.
  • Rings of Mara: Complete the Ritual of Mara with a friend and receive an experience bonus when you play together.
