Ivan Ramis is definitely staying at the DW Stadium for the remainder of the season after the central defender failed a medical at Crystal Palace. The Spaniard has played just seven times for Wigan this season, with his last appearance coming against Derby County in their 1-0 away New Years Day win.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed the club are close to signing Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leigh Griffiths, via the club's official twitter page.

The Scotland international has been subject to intense speculation in the past couple of weeks, with reported interest from Championship as well as Celtic. It now looks highly likely the player will soon be looking to fire Celtic to silverware.

Manchester United duo Tyler Blackett and Tom Thorpe trained at Birmingham City's training ground today, ahead of a loan move for both players. Both are highly-rated defenders, with Blackett proving himself a capable player at this level whilst on loan at Blackpool.

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan on loan until the end of the season.

Vaughan, 30, has played a huge part in Nottingham Forest unbeaten run which has now stretched to ten games, following their emphatic come back last night.

According to the Sky Sports Transfer Centre, Leicester City striker Martyn Waghorn is wanted by Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United before the transfer deadline at 11pm tonight. The 24-year-old has spent the majority of the season on loan to Millwall, where he scored 3 goals in 14 appearances.

Queens Park Rangers are keeping tabs on former Chelsea defender Mancienne according to the Daily Mail.The 26-year-old is currently contracted to Bundesliga side Hamburger SV but has found himself in and out of first-team action in recent seasons and has played just once this term.

Blackburn Rovers and Notts County are reportedly preparing to change an electricians life for good. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Halifax Town striker Lee Gregory has took the day off work to hopefully finalise a deal that could change his life. The striker has be in red-hot form this season, netting 18 goals in 23 games. 

Middlesbrough look set to scupper two targets for Nottingham Forest as they line up both Danny Graham and Graham Dorrans, both reported targets for Billy Davies at the City Ground.

Dorrans and Graham would be a huge boost for Aitor Karanka as he looks to make a late dash for the play-offs.

Queens Park Rangers have confirmed the signing of young Brazilian striker Guilherme Dellatorre, as confirmed by their official twitter page.

The 21-year-old striker has joined the West London club on loan until the end of the season.

Rangers have also announced the signing of experienced Fulham defender Aaron Hughes on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Hughes, 34, has played a lot of games for Fulham this season but has been cast aside ever since Hull disposed of Fulham 6-0  back in late Decemeber.

Emmanuel Frimpoing has signed for Championship side Barnsley until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee. 

Frimpong, 22, is quite a coup for Barnsley and could play a major part in their survival from the drop to League One.

Blackburn Rovers have announced confirmation on the signing of Cardiff City winger Craig Conway, via the clubs official twitter page.

The 28-year-old former Dundee United winger will be hoping to make a big impact at Ewood Park and help the club secure a play-off spot in the second part of the season.

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Charlton Athletic striker Yann Kermorgant on a two-and-half year deal.

The 32-year-old has played 21 times for Charlton this season, scoring five goals and creating two. It could look to be an inspired signing by Eddie Howe, who will have known about Kermorgant for a long time.
