We ran a poll yesterday asking Arsenal fans to vote on whether they would be happy should Juventus front man Mirko Vucinic arrive at the club.
The response was emphatic with 43% suggesting they’d be happy with a deal for the Montenegrin while 44% said they would only be happy if Vucinic arrived in a double swoop with Julian Draxler of FC Schalke.
That's a combined total of 87% of the vote from those who took part, approving a deal and double deal which is unlikely to happen today.
As things stand, a deal for either of them today is extremely unlikely which means Arsene Wenger will be thinking outside the box and working quickly to try and get some attacking cover in before the deadline.
Alvaro Morata has already been mentioned as a target in reports this morning, but the Gunners have disappointingly missed out on two of Arsene Wenger’s first choice attacking targets.
Vucinic certainly would have been a good option for the Gunners because of his ample experience playing football at the top European level.
Arsenal appear to have missed the boat with the 30-year-old but a deal for Draxler in the summer is still a good possibility.
Arsenal seem to have just run out of time to haggle over a deal for the German but it could be an easier transfer to complete when the time restraints are eased after the World Cup this summer in Brazil.
