Report: Moyes prevented Nani exit

According to Italian media sources, Manchester United boss David Moyes personally ensured that Nani wouldn't leave the club.

It was a dramatic deadline day for Portuguese international Nani who was linked with Juventus, then Inter and finally AC Milan, but no deal has materialised.

The winger has been out of favour at Manchester United this season and his relationship with the fans at Old Trafford has declined.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte had reportedly been searching for a chance to bring Nani to Turin for weeks but couldn't get his man.

Inter surprisingly were reported to have joined the hunt and there were suggestions that a part-exchange with Fredy Guarin was proposed, although that may have been a fabrication.

And today, in a final twist, AC Milan reportedly made a last-ditch attempt to steal Nani from under their rivals' noses.

But, according to Tuttomercatoweb and Sky Sport Italia, Manchester United boss David Moyes personally prevented Nani leaving, even on loan.

Nani will now have to try and fight his way back into Moyes' team and win over the United faithful.
