With all the drama surrounding Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, there were jokes to be had at Liverpool's expense while the social media teams at Accrington Stanley and Wimbledon are also on excellent form.
Arsenal were frustrated in their pursuit of Schalke 04 star Julian Draxler but turned to Sweden international Kim Kallstrom - to great success - as the midfielder is passed a medical examination and was a confirmed Gunner three hours prior to January, 31's deadline.
Chelsea wrapped up a deadline deal for talented French centre back Kurt Zouma early on Friday, there was a will-they-won't-they nature to any dealing regarding Tottenham Hotspur's transfer activity (although they later closed their gates an hour prior to the 11pm closing of the market) while Manchester United manager David Moyes distanced himself from making further approaches after having already acquired Juan Mata.
The mid-season transfer market began slow, with the first significant piece of business conducted by Chelsea half-way through the month with the capture of Nemanja Matic, yet it almost ignited yesterday, with Crystal Palace and Fulham both enjoying strong recruitment drives.
On social media, there were some clubs, former professionals and spoof accounts providing comic relief to the otherwise dramatic finish to the window…
