Manchester City look like they will get at least one of their men from FC Porto despite Manuel Pellegrini saying at a press conference earlier: 'There is no news. Tomorrow you will know everything'.
The Manchester Evening News have reported that a private jet from Porto has been cleared to land in Manchester today at 3:23pm. It is unclear who is on board that plane - it could be Mangala and Fernando, or just one of them.
The newspaper understands that the plane is due to land at the airport's private terminal - and the arrival time of the flight is expected to give Manchester City enough time to complete any transfer before the window closes tonight.
It is thought Mangala would cost Manchester City in the region of £35 million, whilst Fernando could arrive for £7 million. If Mangala does arrive at Manchester City then it could lead to either Joleon Lescott or Micah Richards leaving the club. Both are in need of first-team football so they can improve their chances of making the England World Cup squad. Lescott has been linked with West Ham United, whilst Richards was the subject of a rejected loan offer from Liverpool.
Manchester City certainly do things dramatically on deadline day, and the arrival of a private jet is sure to whet the appetites of the club's expectant fans. A £35m deal for Mangala would more than likely be the biggest deal of the day.
