Gary Neville: 'I don't like Leeds United but...'

Even the former Manchester United man feels sorry for Leeds United.

Leeds United know the situation is bad when even those associated with Manchester United feel sorry for them.

That's exactly what the current situation has come to, with manager Brian McDermott unceremoniously fired with three hours of Deadline Day remaining.

The decision was made by Massimo Cellini, a new 75% stakeholder in the club - and the football world has reacted with dismay at the abrupt decision.

One of those to voice his shock, was former Manchester United captain Gary Neville, who had this to say via Twitter:

There may never have been a scenario where Leeds fans could have envisaged being in agreement with the Manchester United stalwart, but perhaps this is it.
