FL 12pm Deadline Day news: Manchester United starlets, Diakite and Graham featured

Nottingham Forest could lose out to Middlesbrough for striker, former Derby County loanee could join Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers are closing in on Cardiff City midfielder Craig Conway.


Watford are likely to sign Samba Diakite on loan from Queens Park Rangers, according to manager Harry Redknapp. The 25-year-old is yet to play for Rangers this season, so will be hungry to make his impact on this season. 

Coventry have signed Rory Donnelly on loan until the end of the season, confirmed via their official Twitter page.

Donnelly, 21, hasn't appeared for Swansea this season but could be seen as quite a coup for Coventry who have had to replace their outgoing top goalscorer. 

In the Pipeline:

Blackburn Rovers are believed to be close to signing Cardiff City winger Craig Conway, according to the Lancashire Telegraph. The 28-year-old has enjoyed a successful loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion this season, after losing his place in the Cardiff side. 

Barnsley are poised to sign talented Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, according to Sky Sports reports.

The 22-year-old is a huge coup for the Championship side and is a major boost to their fight for survival. 

Kevin Doyle and Aaron Hughes are reportedly 'on the verge' of completing loan deals to Queens Park Rangers. The 34-year-old Fulham defender has played 13 times for this season with his last performance coming in a 6-0 mauling at the hands of Hull City. Whilst Kevin Doyle has played 23 times for Wolves this season, scoring three goals.

Harry Redknapp has confirmed that Queens Park Rangers are closing in on a loan deal for Manchester United starlet Will Keane in a press conference aired on Sky Sports News. The 21-year-old spent a very short spell on loan to Wigan Athletic, where he played four times without scoring.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager could also add Michael Keane to his squad, according to Sky Sports reports.

The 21-year-old was recently on loan at Derby County, but returned to Manchester United after Tuesday's game after losing his place in the team. 

If Danny Graham is to move today the likely destination is Middlesborough, despite strong interest from Nottingham Forest.

Although the player is currently in a goalscoring rut, he made his name as one of the top strikers in the Championship during his time at Watford and could look to do that once again. 

Done Deal:

Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt has completed his move to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £3m. Gus Poyet has been chasing the 24-year-old for the majority of the window and will be delighted to finally land the talented former Chelsea starlet. 

Tottenham starlet Ryan Fredericks has extended his loan deal at at the club until the end of the season. The talented right-back initially signed on a 93-day emergency agreement and now can settle into Ian Holloway's squad right up until the last day of the season. 

Republic of Ireland international Andy Keogh has joined Championship side Blackpool on loan until the end of the season. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker has played 18 times for Millwall this season, including their game Tuesday night. 

Blackpool have signed Middlesbrough midfielder Faris Haroun on a permanent deal until the end of the season. The Belgian midfielder has only made one appearance this season for Middlesbrough, coming on for 30 minutes in a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City. 

Barnsley have agreed an extension to the loan deal of Liverpool defender Ryan McLaughlin until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has only made one appearances for the Tykes so far, but produced a very dominant against Blackpool in a 2-0 win.
