The aesthetics of Arsenal's football this season are so high that manager Arsene Wenger can 'take the Premier League title' at the expense of the division's other challengers in Manchester City and Chelsea, according to former Blues boss Avram Grant, who was speaking in the Sky Sports News studio to discuss the race for the crown along with the transfer market in general.
Currently second in the table, Arsenal lost their command at the summit of the league due to their 2-2 draw with Southampton earlier in the week, allowing Manchester City to leapfrog them due to the Etihad Stadium side's thumping victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The margin between first and third, where Chelsea are, is so negligible (three points) that the country's top honours will likely head toward one of the three clubs.
'We need to not forget, Arsenal are playing brilliant football and they can take the title and I think, sorry to say, it will be good for football - Wenger plays positive football,' asserted Grant today, Friday.
'City play brilliantly, scoring goals and conceding - especially from free kicks,' he added, noting the flaw in Manuel Pellegrini's senior squad.
On Chelsea, Grant said: 'They have an unbelievable squad. Jose likes being underdog and they do well as underdogs. If it [City and Chelsea match on Monday evening] will affect the title race… [well] we have a lot of time until the end of the season.'
