Blackburn's Scott Dann at Palace ahead of transfer

Selhurst Park boss Tony Pulis to bring in Rovers captain to boost his central defensive options.

Sky Sports News is reporting that the former England Under-21 defender is at Crystal Palace's training ground as he looks set for a return to the Premier League.

With form remarkably improved under the Welshman's stewardship, the ex-Stoke boss seems to be eager to keep the club moving forward, and there are a variety of transfer options that he is pursuing.

Scott Dann is one player that seems to be close to switching to the Eagles ahead of the window closure.

Pulis has been a fan of the Liverpool-born player since trying to sign him for the Potters, and Dann has clocked up over a hundred appearances since joining Rovers from Birmingham for £6 million.

His three years at the club has overseen a relegation and several managerial changes, with the Lancashire outfit struggling under Venky's controversial ownership and currently just outside the Championship playoffs in 9th position.

Dann has been one of the standout performers in his 25 appearances, and it's very likely now that a player once linked with Liverpool and still relatively young at 26 will be heading to South London.

It is believed that the giant centre-back will command a fee of as much as £5 million.
