Arsenal are preparing to make the deadline day addition of Kim Kallstrom, a versatile midfielder with 106 international caps for Sweden.
As far as cover for Aaron Ramsey goes, bringing in a player of Kallstrom's pedigree, even on a short-term loan, is a very shrewd addition by Arsene Wenger.
The problem Wenger faces, is that the Swede is not a striker - and the clamour for Arsenal to sign a goalscorer has been growing as the deadline has approached.
Supporter Piers Morgan has lambasted the signing on Twitter, claiming to have never heard of the player who featured against England at Euro 2012.
His comments seem pretty unfair and disrespectful towards the Swede, even if his ire is being targeted at Arsene Wenger and or the club's board.
Kim 'who are you?' Kallstrom is at Arsenal's training ground. It's not a joke, he really is our Deadline Day signing. I feel nauseous. #Afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 31, 2014
Arsenal fans now so brainwashed they're pretending to be happy re Kim 'who are you?' Kallstrom signing. What are we now, the Moonies? #Afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 31, 2014
Clearly Piers Morgan has never played Championship Manager.
