Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham United, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Manchester City and QPR all feature.

Here are the done deals, the breaking news and the big rumours as deadline day swings into action.

Breaking Developments

Toni Kroos has reportedly snubbed the chance to move to Manchester United on deadline day, which means David Moyes’ men may be better off considering a deal this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Dnipro’s Yevhen Konoplyanka overnight. The Daily Mail suggests Liverpool are close to a £15 million deal.

Arsenal are expected to move for a striker today. The Gunners were working on deals for Juventus’ Mirko Vucinic and FC Schalke’s Julian Draxler yesterday, both of which have fallen through.

Max Gradel flew into London last night hoping to secure a move to West Ham United. However, Sky Sports has reported that the deal is off, leaving him to return to Saint-Etienne with his tail between his legs.

Newcastle United will not be getting their hands on Clement Grenier this month. Grenier’s agent has said that a deal is unlikely to happen as the player doesn’t want to be considered as Yohan Cabaye’s replacement.

Joleon Lescott remains tipped for a move to Galatasaray despite reports which suggest he’ll see out the last six months of his Manchester City contract. Sky Bet make the Turkish side favourites to land him if he moves today.

In the Pipeline

Manchester City are reported to be eyeing a £35 million double swoop on FC Porto for Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando.

Manchester United’s long term pursuit of Real Madrid star Fabio Coentrao looks set to roll on. Spanish website AS has reported that Madrid won’t allow Coentrao to move today as they need him for cover at left-back.

Chelsea are expected to do a deal for another Saint-Etienne star today, Kurt Zouma, before loaning him back to the French club. Chelsea have been linked with the 19-year-old defender for most of this month.

Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo looks set to secure a loan move to Juventus, with a permanent deal possible in the summer. Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino has warned the forward that he may never play for Southampton again.

Crystal Palace are closing on the signing of Celtic wide man Joe Ledley. The Welshman is expected to make a move to the London club today after Palace submitted a £700,000 bid last night.

QPR striker Charlie Austin needs shoulder surgery and that’s prompted manager Harry Redknapp to take a look at West Ham’s Modibo Maiga, who they were linked with earlier in the window.

Done Deal

Crystal Palace have signed Tom Ince on a loan deal until the end of the season. Tony Pulis’ side have paid Championship team Blackpool £1 million for the privilege.

Jonathan Muelba has joined Bournemouth on a two-and-a-half-year deal after rejecting the chance to extend his contract with Chelsea.

Billy Clifford is another player who has left Chelsea, to join Royal Antwerp on loan until the end of the season.

Swansea City have allowed Lee Lucas to move to Cheltenham Town on a one month loan deal.
