Transfer news from Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Swansea City, Nottingham Forest, QPR, Fulham, Southampton and Sunderland.

The last midday transfer talk before Deadline Day - so let’s not mess around with some of your breaking news.

Arsenal are of course one of the teams heavily mentioned.

The Independent have been tracking Arsenal’s developments profusely over the past 48 hours - and their breaking news on Julian Draxler and Mirko Vucinic is as follows.

The club have reportedly sent their chief negotiator to Germany to tie up a deal for the Schalke midfielder Draxler.

Dick Law is said to be in Germany - to try and bring down the £36 million or-so asking price.

Meanwhile an agreement is reportedly in place for Mirko Vucinic to arrive.

He is expected to arrive in London for a medical and personal term talks at some point in the next 24 hours.

Adel Taarabt has arrived in Italy ahead of a loan switch to AC Milan. The QPR midfielder has had his loan spell at Fulham cut short to make the move - which will reportedly include an option to buy at the end of the season.

He is currently undergoing a medical and said of the potential deal:

"I'm honoured to be able to play for the best club in the world.”

Chelsea are on the verge of another January signing. 18-year-old starlet Mario Pasalic is flying from a training camp with his team Hajduk Split to London to finalise a move.

It comes after a move to Lazio collapsed.

Sunderland have reportedly agreed a fee with Brighton for their midfielder Liam Bridcutt.

The player worked with Gus Poyet at the Amex Stadium and has been a target for the Uruguayan since he took over at the Stadium of Light.

A £2.5 million fee has reportedly been agreed and a move could be completed by the end of the day.

Clement Grenier remains cryptic over a potential switch to Newcastle United … stating:

“Like you, I read the news and I saw my name next to that of Newcastle. But I do not have more information in relation to it.”

He also maintained he still had ‘goals to fulfil’ at Lyon and a deal looks unlikely.

Finally, and Swansea City are chasing Southampton midfielder Jack Cork.

Southampton are believed to be ready to reject all moves for their player before Friday - but the Swans may increase their original £3 million offer.

Finally, and two Premier League players have headed to the Championship for game time.

Benik Afobe has joined Sheffield Wednesday from Arsenal and Danny Fox has switched the South Coast for Nottingham Forest - both on loan deals until the end of the season.
