Arsenal managed to secure a point against Southampton last night after a poor start to the game, which saw them 1-0 down at half-time.
Arsene Wenger got out the hairdryer which seemed to work as goals from Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla put the Gunners in front before Southampton’s Adam Lallana equalised.
The manner of the first-half performance from Arsenal is what seems to have disappointed most fans, with Arsenal super fan Piers Morgan branding it the side’s worst half of the season.
Worst half we've played all season. Just dreadful. #Afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 28, 2014
Arsenal remain top of the table by two points, with Manchester City possessing a better goal difference and a game in hand, which they play against Tottenham Hotspur this evening.
The frustrating performance was capped off by Mathieu Flamini's red card, which means he will miss games against Liverpool and Manchester United.
Next up for the Gunners is a home match against Crystal Palace this Sunday and a fixture where Arsenal need to put together a much better and brighter start.
