Guardiola comments offer Man United hope in Kroos pursuit

Guardiola Close Up

Pep Guardiola hasn't ruled out Toni Kroos leaving Bayern Munich.

Pep Guardiola has offered Manchester United huge incentive of landing Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos.

David Moyes has said the recent high profile signing of Juan Mata won’t be the last big money deal he does as United boss with the German thought to be firmly on the radar of the Old Trafford club.

The 24-year-old German is reported to have turned down a new deal to stay with the German and European champions and could be available for a reported fee of around £25 million.

Guardiola maintains Kroos is an important player for the German club but has admitted that things can change quickly, which may encourage United to try and do a deal before the end of the week.

However, the more likely scenario is a summer deal after the World Cup because Kroos’ best chance of a secured place in the Germany squad travelling to Brazil is if he stays out at the Allianz for the second half of this season.

Watch this space but the size and scale of the deal means completing it for United in the next three days may be difficult.
