Eintracht Frankfurt fullback Sebastian Jung has been linked with a move to Arsenal as a possible replacement for Bacary Sagna – but who is he?

Following the contract situation regarding Bacary Sagna, Arsenal have reportedly looked at German fullback Sebastian Jung as a potential replacement.

The right-back was linked with both Roma and Inter Milan last summer – with Inter’s ex-director of sport Piero Ausilio once saying:

“Jung is a young lad and I cannot deny that we are tracking him, but that’s a long way from saying we have made decisive steps towards signing him”

Looked upon as the possible long-term replacement of German fullback Phillip Lahm – Sebastian Jung has a promising future ahead of him.

Here are five facts about him.

1) Sebastian Alexander Jung is a 23-year-old German right-back who joined Eintracht Frankfurt academy side as an 8-year old.

2) The defender – who is valued by transfermarkt at £7m – has made 14 Bundesliga starts for the club so far this campaign.

3) He has currently assisted three Bundesliga goals this season – the joint-best throughout the entire squad.

4) Only three players have made for key passes than Jung – with the 23-year-old totalling 14 for the season.

5) Sebastian Jung is the first Eintracht Frankfurt player to be called up to the German national squad this side of the millennium.
