Juventus could offer Moyes a swap deal he can't refuse - but for who?

Juventus could be about to give Manchester United a double boost by taking Nani off their hands – and giving them Domenico Berardi in exchange.

The Portuguese winger only signed a new deal at Old Trafford in September, which was supposed to keep the 27-year-old at the club until 2018. Yet, just four months on, Nani could be heading for the exit door with the Serie A giants reportedly set to offer Red Devils an offer they can't refuse.

The Turin giants are believed to be interested in offering up 19-year-old forward Domenico Berardi in exchange for Nani. Berardi is currently on loan at fellow Serie A side Sassuolo, and has impressed with 12 goals in 16 league games. Former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was interested in bringing Berardi to Old Trafford during his first spell with Sassuolo, but Juventus swooped in to buy him before loaning him back to his previous club.

And now it seems that United have retained an interest in the young Italian, but the players' agent insists that there will be no deal this month, and that his client will only discuss his future after the season, as he hopes to keep Sassuolo in Serie A, with the side currently entrenched in the bottom three.

"Nothing concrete has happened yet and even if an offer did arrive it wouldn't be considered before June," Simone Seghedoni said. "If one thing is certain then it is this: Domenico will stay at Sassuolo until the end of the season. The player doesn't want to leave and the club don't want to let him go. As I have said before, Domenico has taken up Sassuolo's cause and wants to keep them in Serie A. The market is to be discussed in June."

This revelation would mean that United would have to wait until the summer to land Berardi and subsequently let Nani go, but if a deal arises where they can shift the former Sporting Lisbon man and bring in the dynamic young Italian, then David Moyes would be foolish to say no. Berardi has proven that he possesses pace, dribbling ability and an eye for goal, and could form a terrifying tandem with Adnan Januzaj for many years - but Moyes may just have to be patient over the coming months if he is committed to landing the young starlet.
