VIDEO: Brazilian footballing legend Ronaldinho turns his hand to music

Ronaldinho has released a song with rapper and friend Edcity called "Vai na fe"

Ronaldinho is one of the most talented footballers to have ever played the game. A player with a touch of class, who could play the game at the highest level with minimal effort it seemed. Former Barcelona teammate Eidur Gudjohnsen once said of Ronaldinho "When you play with him and see what he does with a ball, nothing surprises me any more. One of these days, he will make the ball talk."

Now Ronaldinho is doing the talking himself, or the singing rather. The former AC Milan player has teamed up with his rapper friend Edcity and they have recorded a song together, and 'Ronny' certainly doesn't hold back when he steps behind the microphone in "Vai na fe (Go in Faith).

The video above shows the song in full and the video is full of Ronaldinho showcasing his footballing talents as well as crowds gathering on the streets to dance to the song. It has a typical Samba feel and could well be used for numerous World Cup themed promotions across the globe.

I am no expert on Portuguese myself but The Daily Mail informs us that the song includes the line 'Faith you can not lose, you have to believe and achieve victory.' The song could well provide further inspiration for the country counting down the days to the World Cup.

Ronaldinho is still playing football and is unlikely to hang up his boots in pursuit of a career in music anytime soon. He recently extended his contract with Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro.
