Arsenal could fight Juventus for PSG player

The latest reports in France suggest that Arsenal are ready to do battle with Juventus for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain man Jeremy Menez.

Juventus have been frequently linked with a move for French international Jeremy Menez but it seems they may have competition from Arsenal.

After spending his early career at Sochaux and Monaco, Menez made a name for himself in Serie A with Roma where he played between 2008 and 2011.

In July 2011, the 26-year-old signed for Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of around £6.5m but he has struggled for first-team football in the French capital and has started just five games this season.

While both Juventus and Inter have been tipped to try and bring Menez back to Italy, Le Parisien believes that Arsenal are also in the hunt for his signature and that he may prefer to move to England.

The French newspaper states that there may already have been contact between Arsene Wenger and PSG.

Juventus are still looking to add to their attacking options this winter having been unable to agree a deal for Manchester United man Nani so far.

The Old Lady were on the brink of signing midfielder Fredy Guarin from Inter but a deal fell through.
