Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been very outspoken in his demands for backing this January and reiterated that the side needs strengthening if they're to get promoted this season.
Djebbour, 29, is a long-term target after a cancelled medical was all that stopped him from joining the East Midlands side in July.
The 27-year-old striker has been in top form this season, scoring 17 goals in 26 matches in the Championship and creating three more.
Losing McCormack now could significantly dent the promotion hopes of the Yorkshire club, so any transfer, if it does happen, is likely to be completed fast to ensure a suitable replacement could be found.

Dann, 26, is one of the biggest earners at Blackburn Rovers and has been made available for transfer if the right offer comes along.
5) Millwall are poised to sign MK Dons midfielder Shaun Williams, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The 27-year-old Irish midfielder has come of age in the MK Dons side and last season was named Player of the Year. Ian Holloway has a reputation for shrewd buys in the transfer market and Millwall fans will be hoping this is one of them.
