Transfer talk: Draxler development, Mata medical and Borriello flying in

Transfer news from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, West Ham United and Leeds United.

Arsenal have reportedly made a €30 million for Julian Draxler. That is news coming in the last hour from the club via a reputable source in the form of John Cross of The Mirror.

However Wenger denied such a move last night after the Coventry game:

"That is an illusion. There is nothing happening, honestly no. We don't need to take players on the flanks - we have 17 players on the flanks."

But the new reports suggest Draxler is desperate for the move to go through - and it might just be back on the cards.

Juan Mata is having his medical at Manchester United today ahead of his proposed transfer from Chelsea to Manchester United.

United released a statement last night explaining that they had agreed a fee with Chelsea for the signature of Mata - and that personal terms and a medical were all that was standing in the way of progress.

Well he is on his way to Manchester now it seems - although there is no confirmation over whether he is travelling by helicopter.

Italian international striker Marco Borriello is flying into the UK today in order to talk through a potential loan move to West Ham United.

The former AC Milan striker is not receiving regular first-team football in the Italian capital this season - and his hopes of going to the World Cup are being hampered as a consequence.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney - who is a target for Chelsea, is said to be on the verge of signing a new deal at Old Trafford.

Rooney is in the final 18 months of his current deal - and talks have begun which would make Rooney the highest paid player in the clubs history.

Finally, and West Ham United have reportedly given up on Leeds striker Ross McCormack.

They had a £3 million move for the player rejected yesterday - and have baulked at an apparent £5 million asking price.
