The Barcelona star’s father has stated that there has been no contact with Laurent Blanc’s men over a potential move.
Lionel Messi seems likely to spend his entire career at Barcelona, but is not due to the lack of suitors that will and have tried to pry him away from Camp Nou.
The Argentina international has been speculated as a target for big-spending Paris Saint-Germain, with rumblings of a world record bid for the attacker from Laurent Blanc’s charges.
Despite this, Jorge Messi, the star’s father, has distanced the Barcelona man from speculation over a move to the French capital and confirmed that the player would not be leave the Catalan club any time soon.
"I have heard about those rumours and I don't know where it came from," Jorge Messi told L'Equipe.
"There is nothing so far. Lionel is a Barcelona player, where he is under contract for several years.
"It is an honour to know PSG could think about him. But I repeat it is not a subject we want to think about now.
"The only reality is his contract with Barca. I don't know what we are talking about when people talk about a transfer here or there. We don't want to think about anything, neither Paris nor any other team."
Messi is already the Blaugrana’s top goalscorer of all time, and seems likely to spend the rest of his career at the club.
