The French boss remained ‘coy’ over speculation he has plans to sign £38 million-rated Germany youngster Julian Draxler from Schalke.
“Honestly, no. That is again an illusion. We have no need to take players on the flank. We don’t rule a striker out. But at the moment I cannot announce anything,” he insisted when quizzed by reporters but did his reaction tell a different story.

According to physiologists the majority (around 90%) of communication is non-verbal and his behaviour when questioned had hints of déjà vu – back in September when he was asked much the same question over the potential arrival of Mesut Ozil, the boss has exactly the same expression on his face – a knowing smile.
The elder Germany playmaker ultimately signed for the North Londoners on September 2nd becoming the club’s record transfer for £42.5 million from Real Madrid but could his 20-year-old compatriot Draxler be joining him soon?
If reports in The Mirror are to be believed, the Premier League leaders have agreed a fee with the Bundesliga club and the player has issued a ‘come and get me plea’ to the London club. They say believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see but, from the looks of Arsene Wenger last night, the sealed deal was written all over his face.
