PSG have been linked with both Hazard and Cabaye during the January transfer window.
Yaya has been in phenomenal form this season as Manchester City have swept all before them at the Etihad stadium. The 30-year-old has scored 11 Premier League goals from midfield, including a record number of free-kicks in such a short space of time.
However, despite recently agreeing a new £11million-a-year contract extension last April, during an interview with French radio station RMC, the Ivorian hasn’t ruled out a move to le Parisians, the daily mail quoting:
'Why not? Everything's going well with City at the moment, but you never know.
'When you have big teams like that, who already have big players, it's obviously attractive. Being part of an adventure like that, a squad like that, is exceptional.
'My objective is always to work with big players. It helps you to get better and to learn many things. You never stop learning in football.
'For me PSG are a big club. They're a big team, full of history, with all the great players they have at the moment.
'I watched PSG-Nantes where they won 5-0. PSG are an exceptional force – they scare me.
'I have a lot of respect for them, too. They have the financial power that allows them to buy big players, and they have proved in the league that they're above the rest.'
Yaya Toure’s admission will be bad news for City fans, on the other hand it could come as a welcome relief to those of Chelsea and Newcastle.
Ligue 1 leader’s Paris Saint-Germain have been constantly linked with Newcastle United’s star midfielder Yohan Cabaye, with the French giants expected to make a move for their target during the summer.
As for Chelsea’s Belgian international Eden Hazard, Laurent Blanc’s side showed off an abundance of confidence in getting their man as French magazine France Football published the Chelsea playmaker on the front cover – adorning the PSG kit!
Nevertheless, PSG may now turn their immediate attention to a possible jaw-dropping transfer saga involving the Manchester City rock as a result of Yaya’s presumed interest. Could PSG persuade the big man to join them? They have the money, the players and the fame – traits that have already convinced the likes of Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani, so why not?
Manchester City, take heed.
