Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Southampton stars all feature.
Manchester United wasted no time snapping up Juan Mata from Chelsea this week and latest reports suggest David Moyes isn’t finished there.
Moyes reportedly has a huge pot of cash to use in the transfer market as he aims to turn United’s season around, ensuring that a top four finish is a formality by the final league game.
Mata aside, we’ve taken a look at the five top players to be linked with Old Trafford moves this week.
1) Arturo Vidal (Juventus)
The Chilean attacker has scored ten goals and produced six assists from league appearances so far this season, with reports claiming United will have no problem coming up with the €42 million the Serie A giants want for their star player.
2) Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund)
The Daily Mail has claimed United are confident of eventually doing a deal for the German midfield maestro. The paper claims that United will aim for a transfer in the summer after the World Cup, with a January move unlikely.
3) Koke (Atletico Madrid)
United remain linked with a move for the Atletico Madrid playmaker despite him recently signing a new deal with the La Liga giants. The Mirror has reported that talk in Spain suggests the new contract will provide no guarantee over how long he stays with his current side.
4) Alex Song (Barcelona)
The Telegraph claimed earlier this week that United had been offered the chance to sign Song as an addition to their squad, but officials rejected the chance to do a deal. Moyes’ United have been linked with Barcelona midfielders in the recent past but this is a deal which looks unlikely to happen.
5) Luke Shaw (Southampton)
Several sources have suggested United will make a big bid for the Southampton youngster before the close of the transfer window next week. He’s apparently viewed by David Moyes as the ideal long term replacement to current left-back Patrice Evra.
