The protracted saga of Fredy Guarin's Inter exit continues and the Italian press insist that the two new favourites to secure his signature are Tottenham and Galatasaray.
The Colombian international was on the brink of signing for Juventus in a part exchange deal involving Montenegro international marksman Mirko Vucinic going the other way.
But Inter chief Erik Thohir pulled out of the deal at the last minute, causing bitterness from Juventus and leaving Guarin in an uncertain position.
There are reports that the midfielder is reluctant to train with the Nerazzurri and is desperate to find an alternative club.
It is claimed that Spurs have already tabled a bid of around £8.2m but that Inter want a significant amount more if they are to relinquish a key asset.
Galatasaray, under the guidance of Italian coach Roberto Mancini, may force Spurs to re-evaluate their offer by presenting a bid of their own.
However, much may depend on how negotiations between Spurs and Napoli for Étienne Capoue proceed.
At present the White Hart Lane side feel Napoli's offer, believed to be around £8m, is insufficient.
