Jack Barmby, son of ex-Tottenham attacker Nick, will gain some experience in the Football League.
Football players with famous retired fathers always have high expectations on their shoulders to exceed, and the bar has well and truly been set for Jack Barmby.
Not only did his dad Nick play almost 500 top-flight games for the likes of Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool, he is on the books of Manchester United – a breeding ground for some of the best English players of a generation.
Barmby junior will have the chance to get some first-team football under his belt, as it has been announced that the talented striker will head to Hartlepool for a one-month loan deal.
The attacker is in the under-19 ranks at Old Trafford, but has also made substitute appearances for the under-21 outfit also.
He is also following in his father’s footsteps by playing for England at age-grade level, as he has represented his country’s under-19 side.
Barmby will look to get the chance to play senior football in League Two, and there is every chance that the deal could lead to further stints away from United to gain experience.
