Chelsea transfer news: Terry wants a new three-year deal, but Chelsea say no?

A round up of the latest transfer stories involving Chelsea.

Chelsea icon John Terry could leave the club this summer.

The Mirror has reported that the Chelsea captain is seeking a new three-year contract which will enable him to retire at the club.

However, the report suggests the Blues are only prepared to offer Terry a one-year rolling contract on reduced wages to his current deal.

A deal for Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien to join AC Milan on loan for the rest is getting nearer.

The recent arrival of Nemanja Matic at Stamford Bridge has pushed Essien further down the pecking order in Chelsea’s midfield.

It would be his second loan in as many seasons as he spent a large chunk of the last campaign playing under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.

Chelsea are expected to complete the transfer of FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah.

News broke yesterday that a deal had been agreed between the two clubs with a transfer thought to be worth £15 million plus add-ons.

Liverpool were thought to be ready with a deal worth £15 million in total, with the Blues outbidding their Premier League rivals.
