Ramis, who has made just seven appearances for Wigan this season due to his recovery from a long-term knee injury, has been lined up as the answer to the two relegation rivals' defensive prayers and could be set for a move to the top flight before the deadline.
The former Real Mallorca centre-back endured a nightmare debut upon his arrival to the Premier League with the Latics on the first day of the 2012/2013 season, as he was directly responsible for both Chelsea goals in the Blues' 2-0 win.
Ramis recovered from his blunders to impress at the heart of the Wigan backline until he sustained the knee injury which would curtail his progress at the club and rule him out for the rest of the season.
Ramis is once again sidelined through a groin complaint and will miss this weekend's FA Cup tie between the Latics and Palace.
The Spaniard's contract at the DW Stadium runs until 2015 and therefore Latics' boss Uwe Rosler may welcome competition for his signature to ramp up the asking price.
Is Ramis the defender Cardiff and/or Crystal Palace require to stave off relegation?
