The Germany international has spoken about team-mate Ilkay Gundogan’s future, but feels that an exodus from Borussia Dortmund is not on the cards.

Manchester United’s search for creativity in their midfield has brought them to Borussia Dortmund, with the Premier League champions linked with both Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan.

While Reus looks dedicated to the Dortmund cause, Gundogan’s expiring contract in 2015 means that the star’s future is more up in the air.

Gundogan has been rumoured to be a target for Real Madrid also, who are thought to be weighing up a summer move for him.

When Reus was asked about his team-mate’s future and whether he would commit to the Signal Iduna Park outfit, the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach man said the German side would have to be patient.

"It's his own decision. I think basically not that many players will leave us in the summer," said Reus.

"For (Robert) Lewandowski, we knew it already long ago. For Ilkay's decision, we'll have to just wait."

Dortmund will be faced with a decision to make in the summer, with Gundogan then only having 12 months left on his contract. With Lewandowki leaving on a free to join Bayern Munich, Jurgen Klopp’s men may well consider selling Gundogan to avoid the same happening with him.
