Arsenal back in for Vucinic, but there's one problem

Mirko Vucinic's move to Inter collapsed and Arsenal are back in the running to sign him if they can persuade the striker to leave Italy.

Mirko Vucinic had his bags packed for Milan but now he is back on the market and Arsenal could get their man.

The 30-year-old marksman has a decent track record in Serie A but has been surplus to requirements at Juventus where Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente are racking up the goals.

Arsenal had been strongly linked with a move for Vucinic and reportedly met with his agent Alessandro Lucci, even scheduling a second meeting before Juventus stepped in.

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport speculates that the Gunners could be back on the agenda for Vucinic, taking advantage of his awkward position.

The Montenegro international will be reluctant to return to training with Juventus having bade farewell to the club and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

However, La Gazzetta reveals that Vucinic is not keen on leaving Italy as he is happy there and has expressed reservations about relocating to England.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can convince the ex-Roma front man to give London a try, but Italian media sources expect an effort to be made.
