Amid rumours of unrest at Swansea City, would Tottenham Hotspur fans like to see the Dane in charge of them next season?
The difficult run endured by Swansea City in recent weeks had been a story very flying under the radar.
That was until yesterday when The Mirror ran their back page story that manager Michael Laudrup is likely to leave this summer regardless of survival or not.
Laudrup last season defied many a doubter to lead Swansea to qualify for Europe via the League Cup, and has been linked with high profile jobs including even Real Madrid.
Perhaps the one which 'fits' the most at present is the Tottenham Hotspur job, with Andre Villas-Boas fired at the end of last year.
Had Laudrup been available at the time, you can bet he would have been the bookies' favourite for the role and likely approached by chairman Daniel Levy.
Tim Sherwood is the present Tottenham Head Coach, installed on an 18-month deal, his only job in first team management to date.
Yet even he admits if he fails to qualify for the top four of the Premier League, he risks being fired, with Dutchman Louis van Gaal also linked with the post.
Perhaps it's simply too early to judge him one way or another, but with the possibility talented boss Michael Laudrup could be available, the circumstances could force the Tottenham board into a decision.
Should Swansea slide to relegation, question marks will naturally be raised over Laudrup himself, so he finds himself now in a position with his reputation to fight for even if long-term he wants away from South Wales.
