Out-of-favour United winger looks set for loan move to Cardiff City.
The former Manchester United striker is still looking to strengthen his squad after the Welsh side dropped to bottom place in the Premier League after their 4-2 defeat at Manchester City.
The United winger is available on loan for the rest of the season as David Moyes has been unimpressed with him so far.
Zaha was pictured arriving at a Manchester hospital, presumably for a medical, today and could complete the move as soon as tomorrow.
The former Crystal Palace man was Sir Alex Ferguson’s last United signing, arriving for £15million last January before spending the rest of the season on loan at Palace.
Since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer Zaha has been rarely used – only making two substitute appearances in the Premier League plus one League Cup and one Community Shield appearance.
The 21-year-old was benched for an Under-21 game on Monday night after arriving 45 minutes late to a team meeting , and it is believed he was very unhappy with having been left out of the squad for the senior team’s match at Chelsea on Sunday.
Ashley Young has recently returned from injury and even in his, and Nani’s, enforced recent absence Zaha has failed to break into the team.
Antonio Valencia, Adnan Januzaj and Shinji Kagawa are all firmly ahead of him in the pecking order and it appears to suit all parties for Zaha to spend the rest of the season elsewhere.
The Ivory Coast-born winger has earned two caps for England and will still harbour hopes of making the squad for Brazil 2014 if he can find form with regular football in the second half of the campaign.
Spending time with Solskjaer, a bona fide United legend, may also help his development and give him a better chance of making an impact at Old Trafford next season.
