Juventus hoping Man United drop Nani price, reports claim

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Juventus are trying to persuade Manchester United to reduce the price tag on Nani.

As Juventus close out the deal for Fredy Guarin they are already attempting to pull off another coup and sign Manchester United's Nani, Tuttosport claims.

The Old Lady were expected to conduct a quiet winter transfer window having missed out on Champions League progress.

But instead the Bianconeri have gone on the offensive and are on the brink of signing Inter's highly-rated midfielder Fredy Guarin.

Additionally, Tuttosport believes that Juventus haven't given up on signing Manchester United winger Nani.

The Turin outfit have been strongly linked with Nani on many occasions and coach Antonio Conte is said to be an admirer of the Portuguese international, but the price tag has always been prohibitive.

Tuttosport reports that Nani is keen to sign for Juve and that the club's directors are trying to use the player's wishes to broker a deal.

Manchester United have reportedly valued Nani at £16.4m - a sum that Juventus have no intention of paying.

It is suggested that Juve are willing to offer a fee closer to £10m at the very most and are trying to knock United's demands down.

If Juventus were to sign Nani it would further suggest that they expect to sell French midfield star Paul Pogba or Italian international Claudio Marchisio in the summer to balance the books.
