Tom Dele-Bashiru is reportedly being monitored by Liverpool and Manchester United.

Transfers of players seem to be occurring at much younger ages these days. Although not yet a transfer, Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly interested in Manchester City prospect Tom Dele-Bashiru.

The 14-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in the country. Manchester City now face a battle on their hands to keep him long-term. Tom has been playing well for City's youth sides and has been catching the eye of other clubs in the process.

City are now looking at pulling out all the stops to try and get the youngster to commit his future to the club. Dele-Bashiru is understood to be in no rush to decide his future however.

At the age of 14 it all must be quite remarkable that clubs with the stature of Liverpool and Manchester United are chasing you. What is important for the kid is that he just concentrates on his game for now. He must not let any of this be a distraction to his progress. He may have great talent for a 14-year-old, but he is still a long, long way of making it in the professional game.

The player's father has admitted that he has been contacted by other clubs, but they won't be making any major decisions now. Bandele Bashiru said "It is flattering that other clubs are interested in Tom, but we are in no rush to make a decision on his future as it is important we make the right decision so that he can continue his development."

With Manchester City's plans for their academy and youth development it could well be the best place for Dele-Bashiru to be. Watch out for his name in the future, he could be a star in the making.
