David Moyes is chasing three Bundesliga stars according to a new report.
It centres on a second proposed transfer target, Patrick Herrmann of Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The paper report: "Moyes is planning a personal scouting mission this week to watch Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann against European champions Bayern Munich.
"Moyes will also monitor Max Kruse, Mönchengladbach’s Germany striker, with Bayern defender Dante also likely to be assessed because of uncertainty the Brazilian’s future at the Allianz Arena."
Here is our run through of what United fans need to know about the trio:
Herrmann is 22 and has been dubbed The Next Marco Reus in his homeland. The winger has recently become a German international and has scored three goals and provided five assists in 17 Bundesliga games this season. He is a right-winger, and his arrival at United would spell bad news for Antonio Valencia. Herrmann has previously been linked to Arsenal and Tottenham.
Kruse, 25, is a German striker who featured for his country against England at Wembley last year. He has scored eight goals and provided seven assists this season and is one of the most in-form players in the Bundesliga. Kruse has previously been linked with a transfer to Chelsea. He signed for Moenchengladbach for just £2.2 million last summer.
Brazilian defender Dante was linked earlier this month with Manchester City and could become a short-term replacement for Nemanja Vidic. He has made 13 starts this season, but at 30 would not be a permanent solution to United's defensive issues. Valued at around £15 million he has a contract until 2016 and is hoping to feature in his country's World Cup squad next summer.
