Mirko Vucinic is in limbo at present as he remains out of favour at Juventus but has been unable to agree a January move elsewhere.
The 30-year-old marksman is being kept out of Antonio Conte's first team plans by Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente and such is the abundance of attacking options at the club that he isn't even guaranteed a seat on the bench.
Vucinic was previously hotly tipped to join Tottenham, but reports suggest that Spurs side were priced out of a move, leaving their North London rivals to try and pounce.
But so far the problem has been the same for Arsenal, who are set for a second round of talks with the player's agent Alessandro Lucci in London today.
Respected transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports on his site that Juventus have refused the possibility of a loan and that Arsenal are now trying to work out what they can afford to pay for a permanent deal.
Inter are said to be waiting in the wings and could make a bid for Vucinic in the hope he can relaunch their flagging season.
For now, the unsettled striker will continue training with Juventus ahead of their Coppa Italia clash against his former side Roma.
