With Fulham struggling for goals, and struggling overall this season, it is surprising to see one of their strikers linked with a move to Liverpool. However Muamer Tankovic is just 18 and has only played once for the Cottagers.
Having been signed from Swedish club IFK Norrkoping last summer, Tankovic is already attracting a great deal of interest from clubs across Europe. Fulham are said to rate the striker very highly and are reportedly keen to hold onto his services, although he was only signed on a one-year deal last summer, so now has only six months remaining on his contract.
The Sun has reported that Liverpool are now interested in the Swedish attacker. Just last month Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were linked with Tankovic as well so it looks as if Fulham face a huge battle on their hands to keep him through to next season and beyond.
Fulham have reportedly offered him a contract extension but he could be tempted to move on already. He has already stated his ambitions that he wants to play for Real Madrid and win the Ballon d'Or.
The Cottagers' best chance of keeping him would be to offer him more first-team football.
The club have a number of promising youth players and the fans have been calling out for the management to provide more opportunities for them. Moussa Dembele another young striker at the club, is hotly tipped as one of the brightest prospects in Europe. He too made an appearance in the side's FA Cup replay win over Norwich last week.
However relegation would almost certainly see a lot of them snapped up by bigger clubs.
