West Ham have been linked to a whole host of Italian players over the last few weeks but Chievo forward Cyril Théréau is one of the most convincing rumours.
The 30-year-old has had a varied career, playing in France, Belgium, Romania and Italy and some pundits say that he has never shown his full potential.
But over the last year, Théréau has been excellent for Serie A minnows Chievo and he has four goals to his name this season for a side that have struggled going forward.
The Hammers are in dire need of an offensive shot in the arm and Théréau could be just what the doctor ordered.
"There are certainly English sides who are interested as well as Italians and Russians, in fact there are clubs everywhere who are, which is inevitable when you perform well in a league as competitive as Serie A," Al Morabet insisted.
"There's a real interest from a club in England without mentioning any names."
If West Ham are interested in Théréau he may be a more realistic target economically than other names they have been linked with such as Genoa's Alberto Gilardino and fellow World Cup winner Fabio Quagliarella.
