Arsenal's one striker signing from last summer will return to action shortly.
Yaya Sanogo is nearing a return from a back injury which has so far de-railed his Arsenal career.
Sanogo joined from Auxerre in the summer on a free transfer, with question marks over whether he could make the step up from Ligue 2 to the Premier League.
So far he has barely been afforded a chance to show what he can do.
Arsene Wenger has indicated there is light at the end of the tunnel for the French under-21 international, and Arsenal have a date in mind for the youngster to return to training.
He told The Mirror: "We have Bendtner back in the squad on Monday. Sanogo is back in the squad on Monday week."
It means Sanogo won't be fit in time for this Friday's FA Cup tie against Coventry City, although Bendtner clearly could feature.
For Sanogo it will be a case of showing in training he is back to fitness, and hoping for minutes off the bench whenever they come his way.
Nobody expects him to play a big role in the title race, but if he does get fit and stay healthy then there is plenty of time for him to make a hero of himself.
