Everton are about to make their second signing of the transfer window by bringing in 6ft 8in Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore.
The player, who had been linked with both Stoke City and West Ham, now looks set to move to Goodison Park according to the Express after the Liverpool club declared their interest at the eleventh hour.
Traore had looked odds on to join the Hammers until Everton made their interest known, and the snub for Sam Allardyce's men will come as a bitter blow to a team once again in the relegation zone.
Traore, 23, only joined Monaco from Anzhi Makhachkala for £8.6m earlier in the transfer window, but it was always the intention that he would be loaned out.
Now it looks like the Ivory Coast man will be joining the Toffees, and their Champions League drive.
