DONE DEAL: It is finally completed - the long protracted transfer of Belgian international Kevin De Bruyne to VfL Wolfsburg has finally been confirmed.
The two clubs have been thrashing out a deal for a while now, and De Bruyne underwent a medical on Thursday ahead of the move. The final piece of the jigsaw is however now in place and a deal for the rumoured fee of £16 million is now done.
De Bruyne said after sealing his move:
"I don't regret my transfer to Chelsea. I played a good season in Bremen, I grew as a player, it was also a learning. I also talked to Atletico Madrid. It was a good option, but I wasn't sure I would be playing there. I didn't leave Chelsea because I have to go to the World Cup - it could be over after three games - but just because I lost my joy."
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton are all said to be interested in Sheffield Untied youngster Diego De Girolamo.
The Italian under-18 forward, born in Chesterfield, has impressed under Nigel Clough at Brammall Lane and looks to have become one of the Premier League’s top young targets.
The giant Ivorian signed for the French giants from Anzhi Makhachkala earlier this month - but they are keen to send him out on loan until the end of the season.
West Ham were the first to make contact, and put through his successful application for a Work Permit earlier in the week.
However they had concerns over a hamstring problem - and Everton have gate-crashed the party to snap him up in light of Nikica Jelavic’s departure.
It comes as Everton’s bid to sign Stoke City’s Kenwyne Jones has reportedly collapsed.
“I know Chelsea are not contemplating listening to any offers and Romelu is highly regarded there.”
