PICTURE: Arsenal starlet vows to become a senior player in 2014

Swedish youngster Kristoffer Olsson has high hopes for the New Year.

Arsenal have a rich history under Arsene Wenger of blooding in fresh young talent to the first team - and right now it seems no different.

The club have promising talent such as Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Kieran Gibbs all established in the first team while the likes of Serge Gnabry, Gedion Zelalem and Chuba Akpom are all highly rated by the Arsenal hierarchy - and seen as potential first-teamers of the future.

Another player who falls under this category is Kristoffer Olsson.

The talented Swede, who arrived from IFK Norkopping in 2011, has always been a highly rated member of the youth team at Arsenal and has already been earmarked for a promotion to the Swedish under-21 side - despite his young age.

He impressed once again in pre-season - he travelled on their worldwide tour and looked a very talented prospect at the Markus Liebherr Memorial trophy toward the end of the summer.

Now he is often found training with the first team the central midfielder, with a wonderful eye for a pass and excellent technical abilities, is looking to follow in the footsteps of Wilshere, Fabregas and more - by becoming a fixture for Wenger’s men.

And he made that clear with his post on his Instagram account, in association with his boot supplier Nike…

Let’s see if he becomes a Fabregas or a Lansbury at The Emirates.
