Southampton, PSG, Rubin Kazan, Hellas Verona and Udinese stars all feature.
Brendan Rodgers is being very careful this month to give nothing away over the transfer targets he has a strong interest in.
The rumour mill is linking Liverpool with some very good players as Rodgers looks to improve the squad for the second half of the campaign, which will give the team a boost as they try to secure Champions League football.
Here are the top five players to be linked with Liverpool moves this week.
1) Luke Shaw (Southampton)
Liverpool are one of the teams thought to be interested in teenage Saints left-back Luke Shaw. Chelsea and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in the player, with the latest updates suggesting Southampton won’t entertain any offers under the £30 million mark for the youngster.
2) Jeremy Menez (Paris Saint-Germain)
PSG forward Jeremy Menez has been linked with Liverpool for a significant period of time and there have been reports floating around of a possible January switch to Anfield ahead of the World Cup. However, the player himself has cast doubt over any move.
“I didn't talk with anyone about a winter departure because it was out of the question to leave,” he’s quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
3) Yann M’Vila (Rubin Kazan)
The French midfielder has been suggested as a loan target but there’s a problem. His Russian owners would prefer a permanent deal in the region of €13.5 million over a loan agreement. The 23-year-old’s agent has never ruled out the possibility of a Premier League switch.
4) Jorginho (Hellas Verona)
Liverpool remain linked with the Serie A star despite the fact reports this week have suggested interest from Napoli in the €7.5 million midfielder. Latest reports suggest that a last minute move for the 22-year-old is still possible.
5) Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese)
Another Serie A star linked with Liverpool is the £7 million rated 23-year-old. He’s already made 40 appearances for Ghana at international level and has hinted that he could be tempted by a move to Anfield.
“They are a really good team who have been performing well this season and I would be very happy to join them. I’m settled in Italy but the chance to play for such a big club is something I couldn’t pass up,” he said.
